Terms of Service

By accessing and trading on the SanAuto platform, you agree to be bound by the terms, bidding protocols, and escrow requirements stated herein.

1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to SanAuto. These Terms of Service govern your use of our car listing services, certified inspection bookings, participation in auctions, e-contract generation, and secure escrow payments. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please immediately stop using our platform.

2. Accounts & eKYC Verification

To ensure transparency and security, all members must complete the electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) process (consisting of Government ID scans and biometric face matching) before being granted rights to bid on vehicles or post listings.

Members are solely responsible for maintaining account confidentiality. Lending accounts or registering with fake details will trigger permanent lockouts and reduce your Trust Score to 0.

3. 48-Hour Business Auctions

Auctions on SanAuto operate under strict algorithmic rules:

  • Bidding Window: Exactly 48 business hours. Bidding timers stop counting down outside of standard business hours (17:00 - 09:00 the next day) and during weekends to allow equal bidding conditions.
  • Anti-sniping Protection: Bids placed within the final 3 minutes of an auction add an extra 2 minutes to the timer (capped at a maximum of 3 extensions per listing).
  • Auto-bidding Agent: Users can set their maximum ceiling price, and the platform will automatically place incremental bids on their behalf to maintain the lead without exceeding the ceiling.
  • Tie-break Rule: If multiple bidders match the highest ceiling price, the bidder who submitted the maximum amount earliest in the system logs wins the auction.

4. Escrow Payments & Handover

All successful listings must undergo our secure transaction flow:

  • 10% Deposit Lock: The winning buyer must transfer a 10% deposit within 24 business hours to lock the deal.
  • 90% Balance Payment: The remaining 90% must be paid within the subsequent 24 business hours prior to scheduling the physical car handover.
  • Escrow Release: Funds are released to the seller only after both parties digitally sign the vehicle handover certificate on our mobile app.
  • Automated Release: If the buyer takes delivery but remains silent without filing any complaints within 2 days (plus a 3-day technical check cooldown), the platform will automatically release the funds to the seller.

5. Trust Score & Penalties

Every verified member starts with a Trust Score of 100 points. This rating acts as your trading reputation badge on SanAuto.

Violations—such as retracting a winning bid, sellers refusing to deliver the vehicle, or publishing falsified vehicle details—will subtract points (between 20 to 50 points per infraction) and trigger temporary listing locks. If a member's score drops to 0 or below, their account is permanently suspended, and their verified phone number is blacklisted.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

SanAuto provides infrastructure for auctions and hosts cryptographically signed inspection reports (signed with VNPT-CA signatures). Please note reports describe vehicle condition at the moment of inspection. SanAuto is not liable for wear and tear or faults occurring after the physical handover has been verified and signed by both parties.
